The Warcraft Movie

My apologies that I haven’t been able to blog much recently, the situtation at work has not allowed me to even think of a good topic, much less have the peace of mind to effectively write on one.
On last week’s Hunter’s Lodge Podcast, Brigwin and Daewin were offering suggestions for casting of the upcoming Warcraft movie. Now, I’m well aware that the following characters (probably) won’t be involved, but they put out the request for ideas, so here are mine (after I bounced them off Torval).
Arthas/Litch King: Hayden Christensen. I know, but I only ask that you look at the cold stare he produced in Star Wars II & III. Tell me that’s not Arthas. Besides, he’s so easy to hate.  Sorry Ozzy.
Jaina Proudmoore: Jewel Staite. More than pretty enough to play the part, she can be vulnerable, bold, and commanding – and show it all in her face. Need proof? Check out the climatic fight scene in Serenity.
Varian Wrynn: Viggo Mortensen. Yes, he’s done the king thing, but he does conflicted like no other.
Garrosh Hellscream: Michael Clark Duncan. His name was thrown out for Cairne Bloodhoof, but his voice is perfect for Hellscream. Plus, he can play the heavy, witness the only decent acting in Daredevil.
Sylvanas Windrunner: Angelina Jolie. She is both buff and hot enough to carry this role off, and she’s used a bow (see Mr. and Mrs. Smith). Did I mention the hotness factor?
Night Elf for the Opening Credits: Kate Beckinsale. Ok, I admit, I just want to see her run through the forest in that outfit.
Elling Trias, Master of Cheese: William Shatner. Shatner’s been selling cheese for his entire life. Who knows, perhaps Elling’s just a frustrated shaman.
Chrome: Verne Troyer. Come on, Chromie is a male dragon playing a female gnome. And, after Austin Powers, he can’t be degraded any further.
